EU construction & Demolition Waste

In this report, the EU outlines its strategy to enshrine reuse and recycling into construction and demolition projects throughout the EU.

The protocol consists of 5 components which will enable the implementation of circular measures within the construction sector: Waste identification, source separation and collection; Waste logistics; Waste processing; Quality management; Policy and Framework conditions. Moreover, the report identified a host of procedures which will help encourage businesses to adopt the measures required to implement circular solutions.

Key objective: reduction of waste/ 70% of construciton and demolition waste being recyled by 2020.
